Baxter Humby takes center stage in a WBC MuayThai Super Welterweight US National bout against Harris Norwood; much anticipated match ups, Joey Pagliuso vs. Shane Oblonsky and Artem Sharoshkin vs. Ozzy Venegas bring on the heat
May 17, 2010 – HOLLYWOOD PARK CASINO, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Dennis Warner and In Sync Productions stage a WCK MuayThai championship fight night at the Hollywood Park Casino on May 29th 2010, showcasing the best US amateur talent and culminating in the Baxter “One Armed Bandit” Humby vs Harris “Smallville” Norwood bout for the WBC MuayThai US National Super Welterweight title.
Baxter “One Armed Bandit” Humby is, undoubtedly, one of the most famous MuayThai and kickboxing fighters in the US. Still the current IMTC Super Welterweight World Champion, he boasts the record of 36 wins and 6 losses. Humby will square off with Atlanta’s hot shot Harris Norwood. Norwood’s professional MuayThai record is: 27 wins 11 loses 2 draws; he is also a two-time Shidokan champion.
The battle of heavy hands will be demonstrated by two very talented fighters, Joey “Pound’em” Pagliuso, USKO Academy and Shane “The Hurricane” Oblonsky of Westminster Fight Club. This is a much anticipated bout; both fighters are coming off of wins in their previous fights and are looking to take their skills to the next level. Oblonsky, who just brought a unanimous decision to the US from China is well respected for his boxing skills; in his turn, Pagliuso has never taken it easy on himself and has squared off with some of the toughest US and foreign fighters in his career.
In another highly-anticipated WCK bout, Artem “The Russian Experiment” Sharoshkin will battle Ozzy Venegas of Sityodtong, Los Angeles for an IAMTF US National WelterweightTitle. Both are high caliber fighters, Venegas, known for his superior boxing skills, Sharoshkin, notorious for his painful low and high kicks.
