Pala, Calif. – April 22, 2011, 2011 – The fastest-growing California-based amateur muay thai and MMA “Road to WCK” event is scheduled for April 30, 2011, announced today In Sync Productions president, Dennis Warner.

More than 30 fighters will be representing 16 Southern California gyms and fight teams.  An IAMTF Welterweight Championship bout, scheduled between Matt Ortiz of and Beto Rodriguez will serve as the main event of the evening.

Emotions and support were at their highest from American and Chinese fight fans, as they kept cheering, screaming and waving the flags. And fighters did not disappoint.  From the get-go, Andrew Kapel and Guo Quang brought everything they’ve got to the ring and showcased a true war of styles.  Although, both fighters had great deal of stamina and stayed active every second of the three rounds, Kapel managed to lay more damage on his opponent, which ultimately won him a split decision.

Shane Oblonsky shocked the audience that is well-versed in MuayThai industry, when he won a three round fight against an up-and-coming Chinese star Xu Yan.  Only few weeks prior, Xu Yan convincingly won a unanimous decision against Malaipet, a three-time world champion in Malaysia.

Much love and affection was pouring in from the Chinese fans, when they witnessed the captain of the Chinese team, and an inspiration to a lot of Chinese younger fighters, Wong Hongxiang go after Heath “Cowboy” Harris.  Harris’s leg gave out soon after Hongxiang unleashed a tirade of horse-like low kicks, and ultimately got a win via TKO in the first round.

“It’s great to have one of the WCK rising stars participate in this historic event at the WBC World Convention in Cancun.  I am confident that Luis will show well and will do his best to win his home country’s national WBC title.  Luis is well-trained by the Boxing Club’s Caine Gayle and Ron Casper, and is expertly managed by Dennis Leung.  Both Dennis and Luis forged a very close relationship with WCK, and they deserve to be on national television in their home country.  I am looking forward to promoting Luis on Hainan Island, China, where Luis will be a part of the four-man tournament with the possibility of winning $10.000,” noted Dennis Warner, the president of In Sync Productions.

This is the first time Luis Bio of Ensenada, Mexico has been given an opportunity at a WBC MuayThai Mexico’s National Middleweight title.  Now, with six wins and two losses, he will be stepping into the ring with an opponent from Mexico City, an undefeated Alejandro Nunez.

“Luis has been on a winning streak, with TKO victories over Cyrus Washington and Harris Norwood in the last couple of months.  We expect nothing less on November 5th.  It is truly an honor for Luis to be the first representative of muay thai in the ring at a WBC conference, and I am sure he will perform his best.  Luis has been fighting internationally for a while now, and I see a shot at a WBC MuayThai international title in his future,” commented Dennis Leung, manager for Luis Bio.

Las Vegas Strip to challenge American Muay Thai fighters

LAS VEGAS – October 27, 2010 – WuLinFeng Las Vegas Spectacular is the latest in the series of very successful world-class martial arts productions, put together by collaborative efforts of In Sync Productions, Dennis Warner and Henan TV Network.  More than thirty million people tune in every week in China to watch the dramatic WuLinFeng show, the ultimate in stand up fighting, which tests Chinese fighters against fighters from the rest of the world.  WuLinFeng Las Vegas Spectacular is an exception to the rule, taking place outside of its home country.  However, the event of the November 13th will reveal the top dog team, USA or China.

“It has taken a whole year for WuLinFeng organization to select the Chinese fighters for this competition.  Each and every one of them had to earn their place in the team,” commented Dennis Warner, president of In Sync Productions.

Fighters, representing the United States on November 13th come from all parts of the country: Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, California, Arizona and Nevada.  They are the experienced combatants and the up and coming star.

Much tension surrounded the match up for Kang En, a former WBC MuayThai International champion after American fighter, Kevin Ross refused to defend his WBC MuayThai International title against Kang En.  Ben Yelle of Michigan will now take a chance against the Chinese icon.  Yelle’s TKO earlier this year against Ray Cole became a memorable performance for the California fan crowd.  Both fighters possess comprehensive elbow strike skills, and therefore will fight according to full rules.

Las Vegas favorite, Jack Thames will stand up to Guang Hong, the star of the Art of War championship and national champion of China.  Thames is coming off of two wins by KO and TKO against Mike Ryan of Los Angeles, and Eric Utsch of Penn. respectively.  Thames is also set for a re-match with Craig Buchanan for a WBC MuayThai National middleweight belt after a controversial fight result in April of this year.

Heath “Cowboy” Harris is stepping into the ring with the leader of the Chinese team Wang Hongxiang, who demonstrated a spectacular win over Joe Schilling last year in Las Vegas.  Harris is best-known for his knockouts, 28 knockouts out of 29 wins.

Two full-rules and seven modified-rules Muay Thai fights will make up the fight card at Harrah’s Las Vegas.  The modified bouts will operate in the three rounds/three minute structure and will not include elbows.
